Castle Blackness

I feel like I should be writing a live journal post with a title like that. Anyway, on the outskirts of Edinburgh there's a sunny little place called Castle Blackness that I opted to visit.
It's right on the ocean.
The thing about castles here that really gets me is just how common they are.
This castle served as a fortress and a prison, unassaibable from land because of it's location. A lot of castle are actually located like this.
I mean, for me, a castle is something special. I mean, just look how castley that is!
This is far from the most impressive castle I've seen by the way. Just look at all those holes... shoddy contstruction.

Aren't you excited for more castles in the near future?
